Our Story
The Charlee Cart was born out of one of the hardest seasons of my life. After returning home from a traumatic vacation, I felt a deep desire to create more joy in my life and create a life I loved. That journey inspired me to build a business that would allow me to be present for the everyday moments with my children while creating meaningful experiences for others. My hope is that, as they grow, they'll not only witness the value of hard work and resilience but also learn the spirit of entrepreneurship firsthand.
I didn't have every detail figured out, but I had a clear vision that I wanted to create a mobile cart that could bring elevated, memorable experiences to every event. I wanted something versatile—a cart that could transform to serve charcuterie, ice cream, desserts, and whatever creative ideas came next. A cart that would make people smile.
Once the vision was clear, I wasted no time. I found a local carpenter who believed in the idea and was willing to help bring it to life. Looking back, it's funny to think that neither of us really knew what we were doing. Between my hand-drawn ideas, countless explanations, and more trips to Home Depot than I can count, we figured it out together.
During the two months from vision to execution into a full business, I was rocking my little baby and praying about the name. I heard the Lord say, “make it personal” and I knew I needed to add “Charlee” (my daughter’s name into my business name). And so, The Charlee Cart was born.
The Charlee Cart sits under my parent company, McLean Events Co., LLC and we are fully insured and woman-owned. I look forward to seeing how the Lord grows and expands this company within the events industry.
I appreciate each and every person that has kindly supported me along the way and those who have trusted my team with your event, meeting or celebration. Thank you for being here and joining me on this journey! ~Brittany
