Meet the Team

Brittany McLean, Founder, Creative Director & Lead Stylist

I'm Brittany McLean—the Founder, Lead Stylist, and Creative Visionary behind McLean Events Co., LLC, doing business as The Charlee Cart. With 17 years of experience in the events industry, I've had the opportunity to plan and coordinate events across commercial real estate, healthcare, wedding and social events. Today, I combine that experience with a passion for creative styling to design elevated, memorable experiences that bring people together and leave a lasting impression.

When I’m not creating grazing tables, mobile cart experiences, and memorable events, I’m a full-time mom to my two little ones, Lucas (3) and Charlee (2), who inspire so much of what I do. In fact, The Charlee Cart was named after my daughter!

Seven months ago, I launched The Charlee Cart with a vision of creating unique mobile cart experiences for events. As opportunities began to grow, doors unexpectedly opened for grazing tables—and that’s when I taught myself the art of food styling. Through a lot of research, practice, creativity, and determination, I learned how to transform food into beautiful displays that bring people together. What started as a single cart has quickly grown into a business serving weddings, corporate events, tenant activations, resident events, and private celebrations across DFW and Ellis County.

Beyond entrepreneurship, I’m also an aspiring author and speaker with a passion for encouraging others to persevere through life’s challenges and embrace who they were created to be. I’m currently working on children’s books and inspirational projects that reflect my heart for faith, resilience, and personal growth.

I am a health and wellness enthusiast of over 20 years. Having navigated my own health journey, I’m passionate about helping others pursue wellness, balance, and a healthier lifestyle.

Behind every event, I handle the marketing, social media, business operations, client relations, customer satisfaction, inquiries, quotes, bookings, sourcing, contracts, grocery shopping, food preparation, cutting, styling, transporting, setup, and execution. From the first message to the final detail on event day, I’m involved in every step to ensure each client receives a beautiful and seamless experience.

What you see on event day is just a small part of what happens behind the scenes. Building The Charlee Cart has been a labor of love, fueled by faith, creativity, perseverance, and countless early mornings and late nights.

Whether through event styling, speaking, writing, or sharing my wellness journey, my goal is always the same—to bring people together, create meaningful experiences, and encourage others to believe that they can do hard things.

When I'm not creating memorable experiences for clients, you'll usually find me tent camping, hiking, or working out at HOTWORX—yes, even cycling in 130°! I'm also a proud Aggie, earning my Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing from Texas A&M University, my Master of Business Administration from Texas Woman's University, and a Nutritional Consultant Certification.

Thank you for supporting my small business and following along on this journey. Every booking, referral, share, and kind word means the world to me. I’m so grateful you’re here, and I can’t wait to create something beautiful for you.

Theresa Novy, Operations & Event Assistant

Meet my mom, my Operations & Event Assistant! From grocery shopping, prepping food and grazing tables to helping with cart setups, transporting, and keeping everything running efficiently behind the scenes, she is an essential part of The Charlee Cart.

Many of the beautiful displays and seamless events our clients enjoy wouldn’t be possible without her dedication, hard work, and servant heart. I’m incredibly grateful to have her by my side helping bring each event to life. I am very thankful for every hour she pours into helping make our clients’ celebrations special.

After working at Bank of America for 45 years, Theresa is now loving retirement and helping her daughter with her business. She loves reading, researching, spending time with her seven grandkids in her free time and traveling with her husband.
